Have you been made redundant, or under formal notice of redundancy? If so, we understand that it can be an extremely worrying and stressful period of time.
However, courtesy of Welsh Governments ReAct Plus initiative, you will be entitled to a £1500 grant to train and develop new skills to help with your future. We are able to build a bespoke training package to maximise the funding to suit your career aspirations.
What is the ReAct Plus Eligibility Criteria?
In order to access ReAct Plus funding, you must live in Wales and meet ONE of the below criteria:
- Aged 20 or over and under formal notice of redundancy or
- Aged 20 or over and your job has been made redundant in the last 6 months or
- Aged 20 or over and are an ex-offender or an offender serving a community sentence
What Courses Are Available using ReAct Funding?
You are able to complete a variety of training courses using your ReAct funding.
From Driver Training to Health and Safety, Forklift Trucks to Lorry Mounted Cranes – we’ve got you covered:
HGV & PCV Driver Training
We are able to offer a variety of HGV driver training courses such as category C1 (7.5 tonne), category C (Class 2) or category CE (Class 1).
Alternatively, PCV driver training courses are available, such as category D1 (Minibus) and category D (Bus/Coach).
We can also complete driver refresher training for those who already have a HGV or PCV licence, looking to brush up on their skills.
Driver Medicals are also available to those who need to renew an expired HGV or PCV licence.
Driver CPC
We can offer a variety of Driver CPC courses to suit your needs – Initial CPC Module 4 for new drivers, or Periodic Driver CPC (35hrs) for existing drivers.
Forklift Trucks
We have a broad range of forklift truck training available, to include Counterbalance, Reach, Telescopic Handler “Telehandler” and more.
We can build a package using your funding to gain a variety of forklift qualifications.
Lorry Loader (HIAB)
Looking to gain your RTITB Lorry Loader qualification, or refresh an existing licence?
We have availability for all experience levels, whether you are a novice or refresher.
Dangerous Goods (ADR)
You may opt to add a Dangerous Goods (ADR) licence to your portfolio.
By attending our full 5 day ADR course, you would unlock all hazardous classifications and carry materials using tankers. You can also count up to 28 hours toward your Driver CPC qualification.
Health & Safety in Construction (CSCS)
If you are looking to gain qualifications to work on construction sites, a CSCS card is a must.
Our 1 day course including exams will gain you a green labourer card, giving you the gateway to a career in construction.
Construction Plant Machinery (NPORS)
We are able to provide a variety of plant qualifications such as 360 Excavator, Dumper Trucks and more.
How Do I Apply for ReAct Plus Funding?
The first thing to do is Contact Us to discuss your training requirements. We can discuss the courses you are interested in and look to build a bespoke training package to maximise your £1500 of ReAct funding.
You will then need to book an appointment with a Careers Adviser via Careers Wales. They will confirm your eligibility and send you access to the ReAct portal to complete your training plan.
Once approved, we can begin booking your training on dates to suit you.
