Introduction To The Course
What Does Our PASMA Training Cover?
Our PASMA training course provides the essential knowledge and practical skills required to work safely with mobile access towers. It is designed for Bridgend-based contractors, site operatives, maintenance teams, and facilities staff who are responsible for assembling, altering, inspecting, moving, and dismantling tower scaffolds as part of their role.
The course focuses on current best practice for working at height and includes detailed instruction on the correct use of Through The Trap (3T) and Advanced Guardrail (AGR) methods. These systems are central to maintaining fall protection throughout tower assembly, use, and dismantling.
PASMA training is widely recognised as the industry benchmark for tower scaffold safety and supports compliance with health and safety legislation across construction, maintenance, and commercial environments.

Before attending the course, delegates must download the PASMA TowerSure app, which is used throughout training and provides access to the digital PASMA PhotoCard upon successful completion.
Full joining instructions and a download link will be included in the booking confirmation. Delegates should ensure the app is installed before attending to avoid delays on the day.
Delegates must also have a basic understanding of written and spoken English and be physically capable of working safely at height.
The PASMA Towers for Users course is delivered over one full day and combines classroom-based learning with practical training. The syllabus typically includes:
- Legislation, regulations, and guidance for working at height
- PASMA Code of Practice
- Product standards EN 1004
- Safe assembly, alteration, and dismantling of mobile access towers
- Correct use of 3T and Advanced Guardrail methods
- Inspection of completed tower scaffolds
- Completion of tower inspection records
- Identification of hazards and appropriate control measures
Assessment includes both theory and practical elements to ensure delegates can apply safe working practices confidently on site. A minimum pass mark of 80% is required to successfully complete the course.
PASMA training for Bridgend delegates runs regularly at our purpose-built indoor training centre in Blackwood, typically within 30 minutes of Bridgend via the M4 and A465. The centre offers a controlled indoor environment suitable for both classroom learning and practical tower scaffold assembly.
Many Bridgend-based contractors and maintenance teams choose to train here due to the professional facilities, consistent training conditions, and straightforward access.
For employers and larger teams, we can also deliver PASMA training on-site at suitable Bridgend premises, subject to equipment availability and site conditions. Please contact our team to discuss your requirements.
PASMA qualifications are valid for five years. To maintain certification, operators must complete a PASMA refresher course before their PhotoCard expires to confirm continued competence.
This PASMA course is approved for CITB Levy funding. As a CITB Approved Training Organisation, we can assist Bridgend employers and individuals with guidance on available grants and the claims process.
