Introduction To The Course
What Does Our PASMA Training Cover?
Our PASMA Towers for Users course provides the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to safely assemble, dismantle, move, and inspect mobile access towers.
It’s designed for anyone responsible for working with towers on site, ensuring compliance with the latest health and safety standards.
This course is particularly important for those using Through The Trap (3T) and Advanced Guardrail (AGR) systems, which are the two recognised industry methods for maintaining fall protection during tower assembly and use.
Delivered to more than 70,000 delegates every year across the UK, PASMA training remains the industry’s benchmark qualification for safe mobile tower use.
For powered access courses, see our IPAF training page for further information.

Before attending our PASMA training, learners are required to download the PASMA TowerSure app. This app is used throughout the course and provides access to your digital PASMA card once you’ve successfully completed your training.
A download link for the app, along with full joining instructions, will be sent via email in your booking confirmation. Please ensure the app is installed before your course date to avoid delays on the day.
Our PASMA training is an 8-hour course, delivered with a mix of classroom and practical training elements. The course agenda covers:
- Legislation, Regulations and Guidance affecting working at height with mobile access towers
- PASMA Code of Practice

- Inspection of completed mobile access towers
- Completion of Tower Inspection Records
- Hazards affecting the use of mobile access towers and how to avoid them
The PASMA training assessment includes both theory and practical elements, ensuring delegates can confidently apply what they’ve learned. A minimum pass mark of 80% is required to successfully complete the course and receive PASMA certification.
Courses run regularly at our purpose-built, indoor training centre in Blackwood, South Wales.
We can also train off-site if required. Please get in touch with us for more information.
PASMA qualifications are valid for five years.
To maintain certification, operators will need to complete a refresher PASMA training course before their qualification expires. Successful renewal ensures continued competence and reinstates your PASMA PhotoCard for another five-year period.
