Introduction To The Course

What Does Our Reach Forklift Truck Training Cover?

Reach forklift trucks are one of the most popular machine types in the UK. They come in all shapes and sizes, from small electric 1-tonne machines to larger 15 tonne machines.

These machines are often favoured in warehouse environments, where space is limited and aisles of racking are narrow. Reach Forklift Trucks are incredibly manoeuvrable and can typically lift higher than a Counterbalance alternative.

They are commonly powered by batteries, gas, or diesel and can be found with a huge array of attachments, most commonly forks, but also barrel clamps, carpet poles, and the list goes on!

At HOV Training, we offer Reach forklift training for all machine types, including D1 through D3, up to 15 tonnes.

Courses At Our Training Centre

At our safety training centre in Blackwood, we have a dedicated forklift truck training area, along with classrooms, amenities, and more. Our Reach forklift courses run every week, and we can accommodate dates to best suit your availability.

Courses At Customer Premises: In-House Training

We are able to complete Reach forklift training at your site with a maximum of 3 trainees per course. This can be completed according to RTITB, NPORS or in-house standards.

Courses at your premises will allow operators to become familiar with the exact machine they will be operating, in surroundings that they are comfortable with.

For us to carry out forklift training at your site, you will need to provide the following:

  • a machine in full working order for the duration of the course
  • an area suitable for operators to use the machine, along with pallets or loads for transporting and stacking
  • an area suitable for theory elements and paperwork to be completed

Our instructors can tailor training for you and are able to travel across South Wales and Nationwide.

Please get in touch with us to discuss your bespoke requirements.
