Trusted by industry leaders across multiple sectors

Operators completing accredited training will be issued with an RTITB licence. The course covers all elements of forklift operations, which is ideal for those looking to gain a licence to apply for work. It shows they have been formally trained to a recognised standard.

Employers typically provide in-house certification for their employees. Training is often bespoke to suit the exact use of the machinery in the workplace. The certification will allow the operator to use the machinery at their place of work, but the licence is non-transferable.

Course durations depend on the operator’s prior experience—for example, an experienced operator will be able to complete a shorter course than a novice operator.

Yes, providing you:

  • are still competent and can operate the machine to a high standard
  • have previously held a licence to a recognised awarding body

Licences are valid for 3 years. You must complete a 1-day Refresher Course to renew your licence.

No – you do not need a car licence to attend. However, you must be at least 16 years old.
