Theory & Practical Training

Commonly known as a HIAB, the Vehicle Mounted Hydraulic Loader is a crane that can often be found on the back of a large goods vehicle. Typical examples of companies who use these are builders merchants and log transporters. This course is designed for candidates who have little or no experience using a Lorry Loader (HIAB). We offer Hydraulic Loader training to RTITB standard, allowing the operator to use the licence in several different industries. The licence requires operators to complete a one day refresher course every three years, in order to maintain and keep their licence valid. Upon completion, the operator will receive a certificate and photo card, issued by RTITB. Training is completed from our centre, and we train using three attachments – hook, brick clamp and clamshell bucket. This does not limit you to just these three attachments. We are able to offer this training at our centre, or alternatively at a customer site.
