Introduction To The Course
What Does Our CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Touch Screen Test Cover?
The CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) test is a key requirement for anyone looking to work on a construction site in the UK, ensuring all workers have a basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental responsibilities before entering the site.
The test is completed on a touchscreen computer and consists of 50 multiple choice questions, which must be answered within 45 minutes. To pass, candidates must achieve a minimum of 45 correct answers, making thorough preparation important for success.
Questions cover a range of essential topics, including general site safety, hazard awareness, working at height, manual handling, and environmental responsibilities. The test is designed not just to assess knowledge, but to ensure candidates understand how to work safely and reduce risks to themselves and others on site.
Passing the HS&E test is a crucial step towards obtaining a CSCS card, which is required for most construction roles in the UK. The test result is valid for two years and is widely recognised across the industry as proof of basic safety competence.
We offer both the Operatives test and the Managers & Professionals test at our Blackwood training centre in South Wales.
