Brush Cutter & Strimmer
Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Brushcutting Operations

Strimmer-1resizedWe offer the Brush Cutter & Strimmer qualification to both experienced and novice operators.

Bush Cutter & Strimmer training is carried out and awarded to City & Guilds (NPTC) standard.

More suited to agricultural, horticultural, general maintenance and forestry use, the City & Guilds (NPTC) standard varies dependent on previous experience. Candidates will need to be familiar with operations, basic maintenance and defect checks, safe operating procedure, Health & Safety requirements (i.e. LOLER, PUWER) and risk assessments prior to testing.

Although there is no set number of days or training hours that will need to be completed, the operator must be competent prior to assessment. When run at a 1:1 ratio, courses are typically one day in duration, with assessment following on a separate day.

We recommend you get in touch to discuss any previous experience you may have – we can then advise the number of days we feel you would need.

We have previously delivered this qualification for local authorities, environment agency, general maintenance firms and housing associations.
